Show Me #105

Did anyone get the memo about Christmas being only 5 days away?  I just found out about it.  LOL
Time certainly does fly, doesn't it!
And since Christmas is this coming Tuesday. . . .I want you to be able to enjoy your family and friends and run the SMT fun for TWO ENTIRE WEEKS!  I have a feeling that some of the posts are going to be showcasing new TOYS that you will be receiving!  Just a guess!  And I could totally be wrong. . . .but we'll see!  And so, instead of a single free image, the lucky winner will receive TWO free images from the Sassy Cheryl's Digis shop!  How ya like them apples?!?!?!?!?!  Sound good?  Yep, works for me.

Now. . . thanks to everyone for playing along last week.  Fabby images, projects and posts.  But, who was the lucky winner you ask?  Well that was the sassy enabler
I say enabler, because she is passing on the tradition of crafting to her ever so sweet granddaughter Miss Emily.  Did you see the amazing photo of the Christmas gift Cec is giving her.  I wish it had been a 'virtual' image, because I wanted to leaf through what was in that box.  I don't craft. . . .but I was jealous.  It looks like a great bunch of crafting goodies!
Cec. . . .I'll credit your account this morning.  Have fun shopping!!!!!  Thanks for sharing a photo of this special gift with us.

Well, with all the business of the Christmas holiday and New Years quickly approaching, I'm sorry to say that I don't have much to share with you in the way of a new illustration this week.  So with Christmas less than a week away, I wanted to share a little something 'Christmas-y' with you.
This is my sweet little Christmas tree.  I know. . .the ornaments are a little too big for it, but oh well.  Maybe next year, I'll get a little bit bigger one.  But Bella, Bandit and I like it.  :)  So we're just going to go with it.

Now. . . .  Did you happen to notice the beautiful little snowflake ornaments proudly hung on my itty-bitty tree!  Well, these were a FABULOUS surprise that I received in the mail this week and I couldn't wait to hang them on my tree!  They are from my sweet and sassy design team member, Miss Judy!  I hope I'm not embarrassing you by posting this Judy, but you'll get over it, I promise. (wink)
Her mother made these and I felt very HONORED to receive not one. . . .but SIX of these little stunners in the mail. . . .and that's not all I got.

She also sent me these FABULOUS red gloves (how did she know red was my favorite color) and a super sassy Christmas card!  I don't receive 'happy mail' very often and this was more on the side of ECSTATIC mail!
And as all of you know, I don't like cold weather, but I have to tell you that I can't wait to put these babies on and go and show them off.  Even if it's just out to the dog park.  LOL
And then look at the little cutie-patootie card that she sent to Zach!  Super sweet and also unexpected!  He didn't want it to get messed up at his apartment (how could that happen with 18 year olds. LOL), so I get to proudly display it at mine.  LOVE IT. . . .
Thank you SO MUCH JUDY!  You're the best-est!

Now. . . .
it's your turn!  Show us something!  Christmas tree, snow, wrapping gifts, cats, dogs, crafting, baking, cleaning, family, New Years party?  Anything goes  . . . .we all know that.  With the extended two week SMT fun, you'll have until January 2nd 2013 (I know, it sounds funny, doesn't it), to get your photo or blogs linked up to play along and be entered for the random drawing for TWO FREE images from the Sassy Cheryl's Digis shop.

So, get busy. . . .and be sure to check out the 50% TWO DAY SALE that ends Friday, December 21st!  You don't want to miss that!
So, until next year. . ..

SHOW ME #104

Hey all you nosey ladies.  Hope you're having a fabulous week.  I don't know about you, but I TOTALLY ready for the weekend!  And can you believe it!  We are just 12 days away from Christmas. . . .let the countdown begin!

Thanks to everyone for playing along with me last week.  I sure did enjoy all the fun posts and photos.  I know it's a busy time, but I hope that you will be able to play along again this week.
So, who was the lucky winner of the free image from the Sassy Cheryl's Digis shop?  That was my sweet friend. . . .

Congrats girl!  I LOVE this photo!  Betty actually had two photos, but I chose this one to showcase for her win b/c I LOVE the expressions on the kids faces.  Especially the little boy.  I see an image coming with that one. . . .just saying!
Betty, I'll credit your account this morning for your win.  Hope you'll have time to play along again this week.

I also have a correction from last week.  One of my good buddies, Shirley Swoope noticed that the pictures that I took of the apartment, didn't quite add up.  I took a couple of them 'before' the sofa was delivered and didn't even notice it.  hehehehe.  Yep.  That's me.  You'd think I'd pay more attention to details, but I guess not.  LOL  So, below is a corrected photo of the apartment with the sofa where it is suppose to be.  Did anyone else notice it and just not mention it.  :)  Thanks for keeping me straight Shirley.  :)

Well, I don't mean to be lame or weak, but I just didn't have time to work on much of anything new this week.  I had a special project that I was working on for a client and it took up most of my week.  I certainly didn't mind.  I thoroughly enjoyed doing it for her, but I can't show it to you, because . . . .well, I just can't show you!  That's all!  But I can, perhaps later. I know. . . .mean!  Oh well.  But I'm doing my best to get something new for you by the first of the week.

And. . . .now it's your turn. . . .well, I really didn't take a turn, but you know what I mean.  We want you to show us what you have up your sleeve.   It's real easy to play along and it doesn't even have to be crafty. . .and by entering, you'll have a chance to win a free image to the Sassy Cheryl's Digis shop.  Just link your photo or blog by 5 PM EST, December 19th to be entered in the random drawing. Come on. . . .you know you want too!
Happy Showing!!!

Show Me. . . .#103

Well, we are officially in to the last month of the year and Christmas is quickly approaching!  You've heard that. . . right?!
Do you have all of your Christmas shopping done?  House and tree all decorated?  Christmas cards sent out?  Well, if you do. . . .you're ahead of me, that's for sure. But I'm doing pretty well.  Only have a few more Christmas cards to send out.  So I'm happy about that.
Before you know it, it will be the year 2013!  Almost seems like something from a science fiction novel, doesn't it.  :)  At least it does to me.

Well, enough of that.  Let's get to the fun stuff.  Lots of fabulous entries last week!  Each one fun and creative in their own way.  Loved them all!  Thanks for playing along.  So, who was the lucky winner of the FREE image from the Sassy Cheryl's Digis shop?  That was. . . . .
Did you all see her beautiful cards?  I couldn't believe she actually thought her cards were simple!  W-h-a-t?!?!?!?!?!?!  NOT! Check them out.

CONGRATULATIONS Ann!!! I'll get that Free image credited to your account.

So. . . . .what have I been doing?  Well, I haven't done much coloring and sketching, except for some special projects, so I don't have much to show you in the 'art' department, so I thought I'd show you some new photos of my apartment.  I FINALLY got a sofa last Saturday.  I was THRILLED!  Now, Bella, Bandit and I can all sit in one place in the living room and not be so crowded!  So, are you ready for 'part' of the tour?

Photo #1:  This is two views of my living room.  The one on the left is looking back towards the kitchen from my Office/Studio door.  The yellow chest was a FAB find at a local consignment shop and is PERFECT for storage.  You know. . .I like things to look nice, but they have to be functional as well.  The quilt that you see above (in both photos) was one that I made years ago when I was in what I used to call my 'country/domestic' phase.  LOL  I thought it would be perfect for art, since I'm working on a budget.
The photo on the right shows another view from the kitchen looking back towards my office.
I love clean and simple.  Yep, that's me.

Photo #2:  The photo to the left is of a washstand that my dad made for me (he made one for my sister as well), years ago.  The 'top' part isn't on it, but I thought it was perfect as an accent table for the lamp that I purchased. . . .and check out that fun bicycle clock.  I got that at Home Goods a couple of weeks ago.  Needed something for in the living room and didn't want to hang one on the wall.  Besides, I couldn't find one that I liked.  LOL
The picture to the right is another view of the Living Room, but more to the left.  The Red shelving that I'm using as a entertainment center was also purchased at the same consignment shop.  Blythe's husband, Chris drilled a hole for me to run my cords through for my DVD player, iPod/radio/clock and the cable wires.  Had to hide those little boogers as that really does drive me nuts!
The quilt squares that you see framed above the entertainment center, are from a quilt that my grandmother Reba made.  It was falling apart and wasn't able to be used, so I framed five of them in t-shirt boxes that I purchased from Micheals for $5 each.  There are also two to the left and right of the yellow hutch if you look in photo #1.

Photo #3:  And finally we come to my office/studio.  Of course, this is where I spend most of my time, so I wanted it to be clean, neat, simple and functional.  I separated my workspace from my computer space and purchased a chair, also from Home Goods for the computer desk.  It works out quite nicely.
Had to have matching rugs and pillows for the chairs though.  That would have drove me nuts!
It gets great sunlight and is on the far end of the apartment, so it's nice to be able to shut the door when I'm done in there for the day.. . .

Whatcha think?  Hope I didn't bore you too much.  I've taken some photos of it decorated for Christmas and will share those another time.

So. . . .  what do you have going on this week?  We'd love to see.  Grab those cameras and get busy, because we want to see.  You'll have until 5 PM EST, December 12th., to link up your photo or blog to be entered in the random drawing for the FREE image. . . . It's fun being nosey.  It's just in our nature.  So come join in the fun!

What are you waiting for. . . . ??????
